Carpet Cleaning Procedure

Carpet Cleaning Procedure

  1. Pre-vacuuming of all areas to be cleaned is recommended prior to carpet extraction cleaning. Pre-vacuuming can remove up to 80% of the dirt and debris from your carpet.
  2. Always pre- test all cleaning chemicals in an inconspicuous area for colorfastness prior to application.
  3. Select the right prespray based on fiber content, traffic and soiling condition.
  4. For increased efficiency, apply your presprays traffic lane cleaners with a Hydroforce injection sprayer to take advantage of solution pressure and heat created by your high performance portable extractor or truckmount. You can also use a “pump-up” pressure sprayer. Apply in even overlapping patterns.
  5. For faster cleaning and thorough distribution & agitation of carpets consider using a rotary scrubber or carpet rake.
  6. As a general rule, you should also use an Acid Rinse for Carpet PH Neutralisation.
  7. For faster cleaning, and effective cleaning of heavily soiled carpet, extract with the Rotovac 360i. In furniture dense environments, use the carpet cleaning wand.
  8. It is recommended that you apply Steamaster Fibre Shield Carpet Protector after extraction cleaning.
  9. For faster drying, especially in humid environments, consider using an air mover after cleaning.
