How To Get Grease Out Of Carpet
If the grease/oil has not already settled into the carpet, extract or blot as much excess grease/oil from the carpet as possible. Take care not to rub the oil/grease stain as it could spread the stain out.
Apply your spotter, GOBSTR, PIG, or equivalent chemical to the stain, making sure that you cover the entire affected area with the chemical.
Agitate the stained area to loosen any particles from the carpet fibers for easy cleaning.
Extract or blot the spot dry with a clean white absorbent towel until all of the chemical and the stain has been soaked up by the towel. Again, take care not to rub the stain, but gently and carefully blot the stain to prevent the stain from spreading on the carpet.
Rinse the spot with clean water to wash away any excess chemical and loose grease/oil.
Blot the spot dry again with a clean white absorbent towel.
